Her book, "So, This is Christmas", is set in the fictional town of Christmas, Oklahoma. Coincidentally, she had gotten a degree in writing novels, so Andreen was very excited for this opportunity. In 2019, Andreen was approached by Penguin Random House to write a book for young adults at Christmastime. "Let's just break out the hot cocoa and cookies, and bad sweaters and be nice to each other for a little bit.”Ĭhristmas may be her "milk and cookies", but Andreen says it's a gift to be able to do a little bit of everything and branch out to writing for other holidays at Hallmark. “It makes you feel like you're part of a community for the most part, it can be a community in New York City, it can be a community in Pine Bluff, you know, wherever it can be, wherever that community is," she said.
